The Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) is a qualifying examination for individuals aspiring to become teachers in government schools. In Tamil Nadu, this exam is known as the Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test (TNTET) and is conducted by the Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB).
Key Features of TET (TNTET):
Purpose: To assess the eligibility of candidates for teaching positions in primary (Classes 1 to 5) and upper primary (Classes 6 to 8) schools in Tamil Nadu.
Conducting Body: Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB), Tamil Nadu.
Exam Structure:
Paper I: For candidates aiming to teach Classes 1 to 5.
Paper II: For candidates aiming to teach Classes 6 to 8.

Paper II: Bachelor’s degree with B.Ed. or equivalent.
