16th March- Captain Amarinder Singh sworn in as Chief Minister of Punjab.

17th March- Bibhu Prasad Kanungo appointed as Deputy Governor of RBI. Dalai Lama inaugurated the International Buddhist Conference in Bihar. Sachin Tendulkar appointed as UNICEF Ambassador for ICC Women’s World Cup 2017.

18th March- World’s oldest red algae fossil found in India.

19th March- Trivendra Singh Rawat sworn in as Uttarakhand Chief Ministry. Yogi Adityanath sworn in as Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh.
